Puentes/Bridges, a ground-breaking collaboration that includes Taller Puertorriqueño (Taller), Intercultural Journeys, and the Artistas y Músicos Latino-Americanos (AMLA), and PIFA, will produce and host a series of festival-related events throughout the year at Taller and Esperanza Academy.
On April 29th, an exciting evening of arts exhibits and music will be presented in the heart of the Latino community, at Taller's headquarters. Members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and Intercultural Journeys will join forces with adult and student musicians from AMLA in a free concert featuring classical and popular works by Latino composers.
Intercultural Journeys will feature Philadelphia Orchestra Principal Clarinetist, Ricardo Morales. IJ's Artistic Director and Philadelphia Orchestra cellist Udi Bar-David will perform as well along side his colleague in the Orchestra and Acting Assistant Concertmaster, Noah Geller. Rolando Morales-Matos, Assistant Conductor of the Lion King and brother of Ricardo, will complete this powerful quartet.
Doors to the Exhibition will open at 6:00 pm. Concert to begin at 8:00 pm.
