Intercultural Journeys continues its Crossing Cultures concert series and partnership with the Philadelphia Latino community with an exciting performance at Taller Puertorriqueño's Café Under the Stars series on July 27, 2012.

Intercultural Journeys' Crossing Cultures concert series is designed to bridge the gap between the established Philadelphia arts community and the vibrant arts community in Northeast Philadelphia.  It also allows collaboration between the local ethnic-flavored musicians and traditional classical musicians in a new and unique way.

This is the second collaborative performance between Intercultural Journeys and the Latino arts community this season.  The first one, held in May at the newly renovated Esperanza Center, included an entertaining mix of music ranging from Mozart to Rafael Hernández, one of the 20th century's most important composers of Puerto Rican music.  Intercultural Journeys' Artistic Director, Udi Bar-David, said, "Bringing together the music of Mozart and Hernández was a great meeting of sounds, and performing with students side by side with professionals received the most enthusiastic applause from the energetic audience."

Don't miss the Dalî Quartet, Udi Bar-David, Hafez El Ali Kotain, and Magdaliz Roura in this powerful performance.
