2016-2017: Homeland

The 2016/17 Season, Homeland: Cultural Migrations through Artistry, considers notions of homeland from diverse artistic and cultural perspectives, and how migrations through both cultural and geographic spaces have shaped these artists' lived experiences and artistic practices. It is evident in their work that each of these artists are actively contemplating and addressing conflicts that have arisen from boundaries and borders along their own journeys in and outside the U.S., and are continuously exploring creative ways to process and perhaps even transcend these challenges towards peace through artistic means. As with each season, Intercultural Journeys is honored and proud to feature and connect these transformative artists to our community, through vibrant artistic and dialogue exchanges.
