From hard work to cheerful child’s play, songs and chants have always kept time, collecting and sharing our stories as we go about our daily lives. In Tell ‘Em I’m Gone, singer-songwriter Ashley Phillips traces our songs of work and play from the folk music of the African Diaspora to its 21st-century forms.

Skillfully uniting the historical with the contemporary, Tell ‘Em I’m Gone spins out a thoughtful and joyous journey. Spanning the blues, soul, and original compositions, Ashley’s expressive voice, intricate guitar work, and masterful storytelling unite in a can't-miss performance.
